We're excited to announce the release of a significant update focusing on advanced enterprise permissions that lay the ground work for our provider app, B2B features and advanced hospital use cases.
Care for entire Groups, Companies and Organizations
You can now create groups of users that represent a company, team, care unit or any real-world group that you serve. You can assign users to groups and give them access to specific items, such as a doctor caring for a patient list. These groups will also use our upcoming bulk ordering capabilities, allowing your B2B customers to purchase on behalf of entire workforces.
Microscopic access control
We’ve made our permissions even more granular to help you achieve minimal-access policies. You can now control each individual action across the platform. For example, our manage orders permission has now been broken down into seperate update an order and delete an order permissions.
Reduce overhead with ReBAC
Resources across Boom Health now inherit permissions from parents, such as an Order and its OrderItems, making it a lot easier to accurately control permissions. Not only does this significantly reduce your management overhead, it also lays the foundation for our upcoming Provider Applications.
Custom Roles (In early preview)
The new enterprise permission system comes with easy to use roles like Admin, Manager, Staff and Analyst that apply to many situations. Should you need more advanced control, you can create any number of custom roles that allow you to specify the exact permissions and the exact range of those permissions on a user-to-user basis.
This update allows you to adhere to the many differing compliance standards globally, apply minimal-access policies and drastically helps reduces regulatory overhead.
This update also lays the ground work for the many B2B features, such as Bulk Ordering and workforce care, coming to the Boom Health platform.
